Executive Director

Mark Scholz, MD - Mark Scholz is a co-founder of PCRI and a Board Member. He became Executive Director in October, 2006, and can be contacted at the Los Angeles office - 310-743-2116 or mscholz@pcri.org.

Joe Bueno

Educational Facilitator - Florida

Jan Manarite - Jan is the wife of a prostate cancer patient. She joined PCRI in October 2001 and works handling Helpline calls, e-mails and speaking publicly. Jan and Dominic’s story of empowerment has caught the attention of local newspapers, magazines, and TV stations. Her passion is to spread education about important PC issues throughout her neighborhood of Lee County. Jan can be reached in Sanibel, Florida at 239-395-0995 or jmanarite@pcri.org.

Educational Facilitator - Georgia

Jim O’Hara - Jim is a prostate cancer survivor, diagnosed in January 1996. He had Cryosurgery by Dr. Duke Bahn at Crittenton Hospital in May 1996. Jim joined PCRI in October 2001. He coordinates the PCRI website and responds to Helpline calls and emails. He also coordinates a Man-to-Man Support Group for ACS and is a Director of the Georgia Prostate Cancer Coalition. Administrative Assistants

Thomas Gallatin - Thomas graduated from the University of Redlands with a dual degree in Government and History. While at the University of Redlands, Thomas was a member of the baseball team and volunteered for both a political campaign and at the Palm Springs Air Museum. He received his Masters in Public Administration from California State Long Beach in 2008. Thomas joined PCRI in October 2007 and can be reached at the Los Angeles office-310-743-2116 or TGallatin@pcri.org.

Paul Iskin - Paul was born in Kiev, Ukraine and moved to the United States when he was 8 years old. He graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a B.A. in Psychology in the spring of 2007. Editor

Charlie Bader
- Charlie has been the editor of Insights since the inception of PCRI. He has been instrumental in developing and editing the newsletter as well as the Primer. Recently, additional responsibilities have been added to his role at PCRI as he works with the Helpline staff to write and publish booklets related to prostate cancer treatment.
