In Memory of Joseph Zadrozny
Joseph
Zadrozny, 67, died Friday at home in Warner Robins, Ga.
Born in Dickson City, son of Helen Warnetski Paruzynski, Scranton,
and the late Ernest J. Zadrozny, he attended St. Mary's Visitation
School and graduated from St. Patrick's High School, Olyphant, and
the University of Scranton. He completed his MBA from the University
of Utah while serving in Germany. He served as an officer in the Air
Force for 21 years before his retirement in 1985. For the last several
years, he divided his time between the Scranton area and his home in
Georgia. He was a Fourth-Degree Knight of Columbus and a member of
the American Legion.
He loved spending time with his family and friends and had especially
enjoyed spending time with his three grandchildren. He enjoyed golf,
swimming and following Notre Dame football and basketball. He will
always be remembered for his outgoing and jovial personality, his contagious
laugh and his ability to start a conversation with anyone. He will
be particularly missed at the Warnetski family reunion this weekend.
Surviving are his three children, Joseph Jr. and wife, Daniela, Berlin,
Germany; Jill and husband, Lawrence Rea, Chicago; and Jennifer and
husband, Steve Nevins, Houston; grandchildren, Lara and Alexandra Zadrozny
and Mitchell Nevins; two brothers, Paul and wife, Joan Zadrozny, San
Diego, Calif.; and Ernest Zadrozny, Scranton; two sisters, Deborah
Paruzynski and husband, Bob Betzner, St. Albert, Alberta, Canada; and
Karen Paruzynski, Scranton; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from Frank T. Mazur Funeral
Home Inc., 519 Dundaff St., Dickson City, with Mass at 10 in St. Mary's
Visitation Church, Dickson City. Burial with full military honors is
planned at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va., at a later
date.
Friends may call on Friday, 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations

sent to his son Joseph Zadrozny, Jr. The amount given is never indicated
in the announcement letter. The donor will also receive an acknowledgment
letter. It is PCRI's policy to acknowledge all memorial and "gift
in honor" contributions promptly after receipt.
